Dress Code For All Members And Guests

All Members and Guests must be suitably attired on the golf course and in the clubhouse at all times.  It is the responsibility of the Member to ensure their guests are properly attired for the golf course and/or the clubhouse.  SGCC follows the dress code guidelines established by Golf Canada with the exception that SGCC will allow blue jeans to be worn.

Required Dress:
1. Collared shirts are recommended. Mock or turtlenecks are also acceptable.
2. Collarless shirts are permitted for men and women, provided the shirt is golf specific or sold as golfwear
Prohibited Dress:
1. Tank tops, non-golf specificT-shirts.
2. Short-shorts, cut-off shorts, gym shorts.
3. Any clothing with alcoholic or tobacco branding.
4. Clothing with inappropriate graphics, logos, and/or slogans.
Female Prohibited Dress:
1. Shorts or pants made from spandex or fleece “sweatshirt” fabrics.
2. Golf appropriate tops may be worn tucked or un-tucked but no midriff or cleavage can be shown.
3. All clothing may be fitted but NOT skin-tight.
Footwear:
1. SGCC is a soft spike facility.  Shoes with metal or traditionally designed spikes are prohibited.
Hats:
1. Hats are to be worn with the brim forward.
2. Hats may be worn on the deck or in the Kinear Room. 
3. Hats must be removed when using the dining room.
